Instruct children and infants through preschool in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth. Completed, enrolled in, or willing to enroll in childcare courses to meet the State of Wisconsin Daycare Licensing Regulations. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50#, sit on the floor without support for up to an hour, walk 2-3 miles per day, reach, bend, crawl, twist, and balance while providing custodial care of young children. Requirements: Lifeguard Certification, CPR, and First Aid Certification – we will certify.

Lifeguards must monitor swimmers both on the deck and in the water and provide assistance and protection when necessary. Candidates must be 15 years of age, able to demonstrate 300 yards continuous swim using front crawl and breaststroke, tread water for 2 minutes without using arms, and be able to retrieve a 10lb weight from 7 feet of water. Must model the YMCA core values. If 18 years of age will qualify for training to lifeguard at the beachfront.

Plan and implement theme-based programing (art, cooking, science, etc.)  for youth entering grades 7-9. Program instruction will happen in 3-hour time blocks (with a snack break). The enrichment specialist overseas planning activities that meet the needs of middle schoolers, foster creativity, relationship building, theme based, hands-on and fun. This staff will supervise with the assistance of a dedicated youth leader. The YMCA of the Northwoods programming also focuses on building character, problem solving, cognitive reasoning and leadership skills.
