Must be able to lift and carry up to 50#, sit on the floor without support for up to an hour, walk 2-3 miles per day, reach, bend, crawl, twist, and balance while providing custodial care of young children. Lifeguards must monitor swimmers both on the deck and in the water and provide assistance and protection when necessary. Candidates must be 15 years of age, able to demonstrate 300 yards continuous swim using front crawl and breaststroke, tread water for 2 minutes without using arms, and be able to retrieve a 10lb weight from 7 feet of water. This staff will supervise with the assistance of a dedicated youth leader.
